A method of TDOA (Time Difference Of Arrival) measurement in multi-station locating system is designed, which is synchronized by high-precision synchronization signal. The main station detects and generates reference signal, broadcasts it to the slave stations. According to this reference signal, each station completes time difference measurement by combining time domain wavelets transform and frequency domain crosscorrelation algorithm. This method can effectively improve the time difference measurement accuracy of BPSK signal, QPSK signal and FSK-PSK compound modulation signal. In this paper, the hardware implementation of time difference measurement based on FPGA is presented. The simulation and measurement results of different signal types under different SNR conditions are compared and analyzed. The validity and feasibility of this method are verified.
