摘要

The solar radiation concentration technique can be used in order to increase the output of a photovoltaic system. The V-trough shape reflectors represent the most common solution for developing a low concentration system which can ensure a significant reduction of the cost per kilowatt-hour in the photovoltaic installations. In this sense, this paper aims to analytically investigate the influence of the V-trough reflectors length and the trough angle on the system's geometric and optical concentration ratios, as these parameters are key points when searching for an optimum design of the concentrator system.
