Optimization of solutions for the Bus Bar Protections from ETN 220 – 400 kV

The previous article presented at this prestigious conference proposed the use of distance protections with communication on the IEC61850 as a redundant solution to dedicated busbar protection schemes. This article demonstrates much better sensitivity of these protection schemes, which the author initially developed within the PhD thesis of the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer, University Politehnica Bucharest.
