Mathematical Modelling of Cone Shaped Tapered Anechoic Chamber

Tapered chambers are constructed either with a square based pyramidal shaped taper, or with a a conical one. A mathematical model of an cone shaped tapered anechoic chamber with cylindrical part is considered. The walls of the chamber were initially considered perfectly conductive. Value and distribution of the electric and magnetic field strength in the aperture of the chamber is calculated. Radiation patterns in the conical anechoic chamber with radio absorbing material on the walls are analyzed. Also, the behaviour of the electric field, when the angle of aperture of a cone changes, is considered.
