In the paper, radiation characteristics of the conformal ferrite loop magnetic antenna (MA) are investigated using HFSS. The antenna is set in a superstructure of the surface ship (SS) and is intended for a long-distance radio communication in the range of 10-30 MHz. The antenna power is four single-turn windings with ports on multilayered ferrite cores of a loop. Effect of the phase feeding of the ports on the directional properties and efficiency of the antenna was studied taking into account the electromagnetic interaction with the SS body and the underlying surface. The radiation patterns in the main planes and the values of the efficiency of the MA-SS system at frequencies of 10-30 MHz for different modes of antenna power are presented.
