An amplitude-phase distribution of the field in the aperture of a linear antenna array which ensures the formation of frequency-independent radiation characteristics in a wide frequency band has been proposed. For this distribution, a representation of the radiation pattern is obtained in the form of a sum of partial diagrams corresponding to the components of the amplitude aperture distribution. The main relations of the frequency-independent radiation pattern formation were analyzed. In particular, the dependence of the maximum permissible inter-element antenna array distance on the relative frequency overlap and width of the generated radiation patterns has been established.
