In this paper, the research of life bench test and fatigue probability reliability of the buffer block used in the damper of car(Chery in China) was carried out. In the work of life investigation, the constitutive model of stress and strain for the material of the buffer block was revised and fitted, fatigue damage properties of the buffer block was calculated with finite element simulation method and then the bench test was conducted to verify the life of buffer block and the constitutive model. In the work of reliability study, based on the constitutive model revised by experiment, the dispersion characteristics of composite fatigue stress at dangerous part and composite fatigue strength of buffer block were calculated, the fatigue probability reliability of buffer blocks was theoretically analyzed. Finally, the life bench test was also carried out to validate the reliability of buffer block.
