The development of a mobile restroom for female engineering staff on site at an expressway

In recent times, Japan has faced the problems associated with a declining birth rate and an ongoing reduction in the size of its population. For example, the size of the workforce is decreasing. One response to this is to promote women's advancement in society and their employment in particular. The number of women staff is increasing every year. The Central Nippon Highway Engineering Nagoya Co., Ltd. (Engineering Nagoya) has been tackling the improvement of the working environment for its female engineering (and other) staff over the course of many years. This has included consultation as a group activity, which has had fruitful results. One example has been the development of a mobile restroom (an adapted car) for the company's female engineering staff working on site at an expressway.
