The existing empirical and semi-empirical models provided strong support for the paddy grain drying process, but the accuracy of the models needed to be improved. In order to improve the accuracy of the model, various parameters in the drying process were comprehensively considered in this paper, including air temperature, air relative humidity, initial moisture content, air velocity and tempering ratio. The orthogonal experiment was carried out and the regression model of drying time, accumulated temperature and germination rate ratio was established in this study. The results of variance analysis showed that the coefficient of determination of drying time model, accumulated temperature model and germination rate ratio model were 0.9835, 0.9776 and 0.5479, respectively. It is proved that the drying time and accumulated temperature model can be applied to actual paddy grain drying.
