摘要

In this study, a new eleven level inverter topology with the less number of high frequency switching devices and acceptable harmonics distortion content is presented. It is a unique approach for minimization of components of the 11 level inverter by the use of multilevel PWM switching technique and also it offers high power handling capability. Furthermore, proposed topology involves a single DC source. The feasibility and performance analysis of the proposed inverter topology is done by using MATLAB?Simulink software. In the proposed inverter, IGBTs are being used as switching devices to make the design more feasible and steadfast in the aspect of power quality. The comparison between the existing inverter topologies reveals that the proposed designed offers a quintessence results in multilevel inverters due to abridged harmonic distortion and less count of switching devices. It is an attractive and cost effective solution to adopt and provides the best output for grid connected systems.
