Fuel cell battery (FC) is current sources, whose output voltage must be increased to a few hundred volts to can be used in electric vehicle’s application. This will be possible when we use a power electronic interface between the battery and the electric driving motor. In this paper, a 4-phase floating interleaved DC/DC boost converter (FIBC) is used and associated to a fuel cell which is dedicated to vehicular applications. A voltage control loop is based on a PI regulator using an average model of the boost converter. The simulation results of the 4-phase floating interleaved boost converter are presented to validate the average model and the adopted control strategy.
