In this paper, RF propagation path gain between two dipoles in free-space using Friis formula, and equivalent circuit impedance expression are calculated and compared with the full-wave (Method of Moments) solver in FEKO. Results are shown for the above cases. It can be noted that the path gain from Friis formula is not the same as from equivalent circuit impedance expression. However, when the antennas are separated by very large distances, it is shown that the results for the path gain from both the cases start agreeing.
