摘要

This article is a review of the challenges mobile service operators face regarding the growing needs of subscribers and the construction of mobile base stations in a given frequency situation. There is a summary about the key traffic trends and the previous frequency tender, but the next frequency auction is also investigated from a 5G point of view. The article also reviews the expected 5G frequency spectrum and performance and how it influences the deployment of base stations. The energy consumption of the base stations is examined in regards to the 5G networks energy efficiency.
