Future of optical communication lies in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Hybrid Optical Amplifiers (HOA). This paper introduces a new configuration of hybrid amplifier which incorporates Double Pass amplification scheme in a multi-channel DWDM system. As the number of passes increases, gain achievement over short length of amplifier is achieved. Multiple Pass is achieved by using two 3 port circulators. Amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) is a typical noise present in optical amplifiers. There is a chance of noise amplification by employing the multiple pass. This can be avoided by using an optimal inverse Gaussian filter whose center frequency and other parameters are designed according to the AS E noise spectra of the amplifiers. These are employed to support terra bits of information. Gain of 40 dB and Q factor greater than 20 are achieved. Proposed system has high sensitivity since it can support very low input power. This setup can be used as both pre amplifier and inline amplifier in the long haul C band communication.
