In order to analyze the electromagnetic scattering problem of a dielectric discrete body of revolution (DBOR) above half space, a numerical method with improved efficiency is presented in this paper based on PMCHWT equation with half-space Green functions. The discrete circular symmetry of the DBOR is considered, and fast Fourier transform (FFT) is introduced. As a result, the matrix-vector multiplication process is accelerated. Moreover, memory requirement and impedance matrix filling time are both reduced drastically. Accuracy and efficiency of this DBOR-FFT method is validated by numerical simulation.
