A dual-polarized multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna array is developed for 5G mobile communication system. Cross dipole with Y-shaped feeding lines is chosen to be the unit element of the MIMO array. A 4×4 array with interval distance of 43 mm×62.5 mm is designed and simulated. Specifically, mutual couplings among antenna elements are suppressed by novel distribute baffle structures. Isolations higher than 18 dB are achieved over 3.3-5 GHz while VSWRs are kept lower than 2. These attractive features make this array an ideal candidate for further 5G massive MIMO base station antenna developments.
