We propose a new method to detect phase profile of a microwave orbital angular momentum (OAM) beam applying single-sensor imaging method based on Phaselift algorithm. The Phaselift method enables recovering phase profile using only amplitude measurement. A programmable metasurface that can provide phase modulation is needed. We use a transmissive 2-bit programmable metasurface that spatially modulates phase of the incident wave. The modulated transmitted wave is then received using a single-element sensor that only need to record the intensity. We perform simulations using 6 ×6 pixel metasurface and preliminary results show that the tested OAM beam can be recovered.
