摘要

Stable and large sympathetically cooled 113Cd+ ions were obtained for promising microwave frequency standard. The fluorescence decay during interrogation is one of the main limits to the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of clock signal. The decay phenomenon is investigated under different trap condition in both laser cooling (LC) and sympathetic cooling (SC) scenarios. A preliminary evaluation of the system stability and noise limiting is presented.
