The 9.2 μm, 2 Ps, Multi-Terawatt Laser at the Accelerator Test Facility (ATF)of Brookhaven National Laboratory

摘要

A terawatt-class long-wave infrared (LWIR)laser based on chirped-pulse amplification of picosecond pulses in mixed-isotope, high pressure CO₂ amplifiers is in operation at ATF. An overview of the laser system as well as a summary of recent progress and status are presented.
