摘要

Synchronous appliance of reoencephalography (REG) and electroencephalography (EEG) for brain exploration is a rarity despite its ability to provide new data about brain functions and cerebrovascular properties. This study aimed to investigate and assess the influence of blood circulation on brain electrical activity during passive body position changes. Novel data, including parameters of bioelectrical activity and peculiar properties of brain blood flow, was achieved by performing simultaneous registration of EEG and REG in different body positions. Detailed analysis showed that most profound changes occurred in REG amplitude parameters and in intensity of bioelectrical spectral power during head-down position. More than half of the participants demonstrated significant correlation in direct and inverse relations between REG amplitude and EEG spectral intensity. In conclusion, passive increase in brain blood flow can lead to various changes in the intensity of brain bioelectrical characteristics, such as its spectral properties, making them decrease, as well as, increase their presence in an encephalogram.
