Response of water nitrogen load to land use types in Taihu lake

摘要

77.19% of the water exceeded the slightly pollution level and 3.51% (Meiliang Bay) reached the heavy pollution grade (GB3838-2002, China). The TN contents in Taihu lake were derived mainly from the constructed land, accounting for approximately 91.45% in 2017. TN deposition already exceeds the eutrophication critical load in theory. 12.36% of the total annual N input via inflow rivers were found.
