Much has been written about specific applications and issues of applying adjustable speed drives. Most of these papers have assumed a comprehensive working knowledge of adjustable speed drives, how they work, and how they are applied. This paper will help engineers and technologists to apply their first adjustable speed drives with little or no applications issues, and act as a reminder to those with previous application experience.
