Functionality of polyether polyols is an important parameter in the development of urethane formulations. A C-13 NMR method has been developed to determine the number averaged polyether polyol functionality and functionality distribution by R. H. Carr etc. in 1994. With the development of NMR techniques and NMR simulation tools, revisiting the NMR approach can lead to a better understanding of polyol formation and its functionality and functionality distribution with a wide range of initiators. Combined H-l and C-13 NMR experiments of polyols and their structure-NMR simulation studies are presented in this poster.
