INLET AIR FILTER ELEMENTS SITE AND LABORATORY TESTS OF FOUR DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS

This Paper describes three-month onsite testing utilizing travelling laboratory furnished with four dedicated air ducts and required instrumentation needed to determine efficiency of filtration for sub-micron size particles. It also describes the subsequent testing of seasoned fdters in offsite Laboratory furnished with instrumentation and equipment to conduct the dry and wet tests on previously Watson-field tested filters. The opportunity to simultaneously test four different IAFE, provided by four different Manufacturers, was unique and helpful in discerning the differences between these filters.
