This paper presents a domain wall modelling approach to linearise the polarization of a unipolar piezoelectric actuator. Polarization is measured through its impedance which is determined with a low amplitude overlaid sinusoidal signal. Linearisation is achieved through the inversion of the physical model and the physical significance of the parameters are retained. The controlled output showed a maximum error of 5% which could be reduced further by modifying the proposed model to account for minor hysteresis loops.
