Energy Efficient Model for Mobility in IoT using RPL

The Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy Networks (RPL) of Ipv6 is utilized in the Internet of Things to show the performance of system when the nodes are in portable mobility condition. In this paper, we assess the exhibitions of RPL versatility for mobility features. Two congurations, namely Serial and Parallel mobility model are considered in this paper. To evaluate the performance, experiments are executed using the Cooja simulator. Extensive simulation is carried out for different topologies under these models. The performance of serial mobility model is compared with parallel mobility model. Our simulation results show that serial mobility model is more energy efficient than the parallel mobility model for various topologies.
