Reflector antennas for omnidirectional coverage have been calling attention of many researches on micro- and millimeter-wave applications due it favorable broadband characteristics for wireless communication. In this paper we use a dielectric lens in the primer feed to reduce the beamwidth and simultaneously avoid the presence of side lobes in the coverage area. The antenna shaping is performed in a two-step procedure: first, the lens modifies the coaxial horn radiation pattern, and then, the reflector is shaped under the geometric optics (GO) to control antenna radiation pattern. Numerical simulations are presented to validate this promising approach.
