This paper provides a bi-objective mixed integer program for managing energy storage sharing considering lifetime maintenance for the storage system. Energy storage can provide Energy Arbitrage to the energy system to enhance its economic performance by charging at off-peak price and discharging at peak price. The contract balance strategy proposed previously is demonstrated to maximize the energy arbitrage and fairly distribute stored energy. However, maximizing energy arbitrage requires frequent changes of the battery charging state. In this work, we extend the contract balance strategy to achieve the battery lifetime maintenance to avoid that frequent changes of the charging state which could affect the life of the battery. Since there exist nonlinear terms in the formulation of the proposed strategy, several techniques such as piecewise McCormick relaxation are employed to linearize the formulation. Comparison results between the strategies with and without the battery lifetime maintenance are presented to illustrate the efficacy of our maintenance strategy.
