During the last decade, the Internet plays a vital role in our day to day life. The quality of online services such as e-banking, e-rail, e-health has been enhanced due to modern communication technology. Telecare Medical Information System(TMIS) one such online service provides facilities to the patient in which both telecare server and patient communicate with each other over existing public network connections. Unlike the traditional medical system, TMIS ensures that the patient can get health care services via the Internet at home. In this paper, we have designed a privacy authentication scheme for TMIS based on the cloud. Further, the formal verification of the proposed scheme using Real-Or-Random model shows the efficiency of the proposed approach against passive and active attacks. The low computational and communicational cost shows that the scheme can be deployed for computing application and mobile communication.
