Eigenvectors of the transmission matrix of any medium pass through the medium without altering their beam profile. We measure the transmission matrix of air and find that the spatial profile of the eigenwaves are Ince-Gaussian modes. We also investigate how these eigenwaves behave for different propagation lengths in air.
