In OLED research, it is predicted the next generation of devices will use thermal activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) compounds. Three developments are desirable, increased lifetime, reduced roll-off in efficiency at high voltage, and solution processability. Bonding carbazole units to a TADF core, is a potential solution to these.
