摘要

In this paper a novel isolation enhancement technique between two closely spaced antennas is proposed. Dielectric electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structures are those structures preventing electromagnetic waves propagation in some bands. We have proposed a planar EBG design for two planar antennas operating at 28 GHz by the use of genetic algorithms optimization technique. Matlab is integrated with the CST MWS to design the EBG structures. Simulated results shows almost 4.5 dB isolation enhancement between the two closely spaced antennas.
