Distribution System for Perishable Farming Product

Perishable agricultural products are agricultural products that have very short shelf-life such as fruits and vegetables. There is a need for production planning arrangements to maintain supply in accordance with consumer needs so that product quality is maintained, this can reduce losses due to a supply error of perishable products. Agriculture is one of several sectors that drive the economy in Indonesia. However, this sector is still lagging behind in the use of technology for the marketing process and distribution process. We create a mobile and web based platform to overcome this. The platform will be used by consumers, delivery services and managers from each distribution center. To determine an efficient distribution process, we utilize the VRPTW (Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows) method for route determination. With this integrated information, the planning process for planting schedules, selection of products to be planted, harvest schedules, and reports related to fulfillment of requests can be done more easily.
