As a member of the Internet of Things (IoT) family, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) enables us to sense the information automatically from the object wirelessly. A RFID system has two types of basic components: reader and tag, where a reader is responsible for reading from or writing to one or more tags. Recently, as a newcomer to join the RFID family, chipless tag has attracted some researcher's interests. This paper proposes a chipless RFID tag anti-collision algorithm based on FRactional Fourier Transform (FRFT) to support high-efficiency reading of multiple chipless tags. By using the optimal-order FRFT algorithm, the collision signal is transformed from the time domain to the fractional domain. Simulation results indicate that the proposed FRFT-based chipless tag anti-collision algorithm is effective and efficient.
