摘要

Nonstationary mathematical model of the circuit breaker operation is presented in paper. Brief overview of the circuit breaker operation principles and basic forces acting on the electric arc in the organization of electromagnetic arc blast is given. Simulation of the electric arc and plasma flow is carried out using three-dimensional nonstationary mathematical model of local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) plasma. Numerical simulation is performed using COMSOL Multiphysics software. Analysis of electromagnetic and gas-dynamic processes inside the chamber of the circuit breaker and the organization of the plasma flow motion in the direction of the arc extinguisher are presented.
