Miniature dual-band bandpass filter based on E-shape dual-mode resonator

In this paper, a miniature dual-band passband filter based on open stub-loaded E-shape dual-mode resonators is proposed. The characteristics of the proposed dual-band filter are analyzed using electromagnetic simulations. The two dual-mode resonators generate four resonate modes in the first passband and two resonate modes in the second passband. An experimental filter with two passbands centred at 3.5 GHz and 7.0 GHz has been designed and fabricated. The filter response possesses two transmission zeros at 3.1 and 4.5GHz, resulting in high selectivity and stopband rejection.
