A new auto-brightness control technology for transparent displays

摘要

We investigate relation between display luminance and ambient illuminance depending on illuminance measurement method. This work discovers that illuminance measured near eyes facing the display (eye illuminance) has stronger relation with optimum luminance of transparent display than conventionally measured one. We propose a new ABC using the linear relation between the optimum display luminance and eye illuminance.
