Scalable vSwitch Packet Classication for NSX

摘要

Combining tuple space and decision tree classifiers intoa new "hybrid" classifier can yield valuable perfor-mance gains in virtual switches.The VMware NSX network virtualization system ap-plies high-level policy, provided by an administrator, tonetwork packets. In all of these virtual switch environ-ments, to ensure correct handling every packet mustpass through a classifier to decide how it should behandled. Efficient classiers are thus critical to virtualswitch performance.
