Fire retardant nanocellulose-based coatings

1 The low coating thickness utilizing transparent ingredients allows high transparency with minor change of visual appearance on wood. 2 The time to ignition (TTI) of coated wood samples increased from ~25 seconds upto ~50 seconds (~100% improvement). 3 The peak heat release rate (HRR) decreased from 185 kW/m2 down to 145 kW/m2 (~22% improvement).
