A practical method to generate mean reference discontinuity factors (RmDF) based on General Equivalence Theory's reference discontinuity factors is presented (RDF). A fine-meshand fine-energy structure multi-cell was simulated by transport theory, and homogenized. Nodal interface-averaged currents, interface-averaged fluxes and nodal fluxes were extracted to generated RDFs. Based on the fuel burnup in a given cell, and the burnup difference between adjacent cells, RDFs were grouped and averaged to produce RmDFs which were subsequently used in diffusion calculations, along with conventional techniques. Application of RmDFsresults in reduced power and reactivity errors compared to conventional methods.
