Operating Experience (OPEX) and Innovation; these are two focus areas of the Model Work Order Initiative (MWOI). As the largest nuclear site in the world, Bruce Power uses OPEX as a main driver in change and the production of Innovative tools. In 2015, Bruce Power began the Model Work Order Initiative with the purpose to improve the condition of the Model Work Order (MWO) library and assist in the planning and scheduling of all work on site. A suite of tools has been developed to utilize the lessons learned of running an 8 unit site, sustain efficiency and maintain priorities. The Outage Milestone Tool uses previously completed work to help the Outage department assess and plan upcoming outages; the Assessor Mass Update allows assessors to ensure data consistency and reduce repetitive tasks and the Scoper has been developed to manage priorities and view model work order related objects and records.
