摘要

The CRONOS-4 is a tool contamination radiation monitor with multiple detection sensors, used to detect gamma radiation that displays the total quantity of the contamination within the unit but does not take into consideration the counts of individual detector sensors. In this experiment, the count of individual radiation detection sensors is used to determine the location of the source by comparing the count ratio from three different pairs of radiation detection sensors in three different axes. Based on the data collected, the ratios were calculated, and the location of the source was estimated. The results demonstrate that a simplified model allows estimating the location of the contamination source. This feature is not included in the current product.
