Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) is associated with the deformations and excitation induced by fluid flow on solid structures, which in turn modifies flow boundary conditions. FSI can lead to interesting and complicated phenomena, with a plethora of applications in engineering and physiology. Current FSI research includes prototype tests, field experiments, analytical techniques and increasingly computational methods within the framework of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
