摘要

In recent years, life-like agents that interact with humans have been increasingly studied. In order to achieve smooth communication with humans, the agents are required to use the ambiguous expressions as efficiently as humans. However, the ambiguous expressions will not be always appropriate depending on the circumstances. Therefore, the agents are required to choose the most appropriate expressions to use depending on the context. In this study, as the first step to realize such agents, we investigate the relationship between the ambiguities of the agent's facial expressions and the context of communication. We make a hypothesis that the agent's ambiguous facial expression works more effectively when a recipient is in the less positive or less negative context. In this paper, we carry out an experiment to verify this hypothesis.
