Hydrodynamic interactions among multiple floating bodies located in proximity in waves are expected to be very complicated. To investigate these problems, a commercial software FLUENT is adopted to study the interaction phenomenon of an adjacent four-cylinder structure in water waves. A time domain simulation on the problem of a four-cylinder structure in regular waves is carried out based on viscous flow theory. The continuity equation and Navier-Stokes equations are taken as the governing equations, and a volume of fluid (VOF) method is used for free-surface capturing. The wave run-ups on the surface of each cylinder are then systematically investigated, and its corresponding wave forces are also discussed and analyzed. By comparing with a single cylinder in the same wave condition, we investigate the influence mechanism of interaction among multiple floating bodies on wave forces.
