The existence of thermal stress increases the risk which could damagethe hull structure, so it is essential to analyze the thermal stress of shipscarrying cargoes with high temperature. Based on the structural modeland temperature field, the structural strength is evaluated and the resultof stress calculation is analyzed. Results show that the temperaturedrops drastically from the inner shell to the outmost shell, especially atthe opening of the strong framework. If the temperature load isconsidered, the component would be easier to reach the yield limit andget destroyed.
