Enhancing the Interior Finishing Materials Using Value Methodology

during the last five years, the Middle East area witnessed major economic and political changes that affected construction industry. Egypt faced a lot of challenges during this period; as a lot of construction projects stopped temporary for lack of funding and instability of political conditions. During these period designers in different projects faced lack of funding in order to continue their project implementation. That's why there became the need of value analysis to reduce the cost of project and improve quality implemented. This study discuss and present the conclusion for the value analysis process for Egypt Air Brand cafe in Cairo international airport, this project faced lack of funding and it was necessary to enhance the value for interior finishing materials in order to continue implementation. This paper analysis will follow the 6 phases of SAVE value methodology to locate the unnecessary cost of interior finishing materials according the end user's functions and create a creativity solution as alternatives for enhancing materials value. This Paper aims to share the author's experience in improving delivery by defining needs and functions in order to identify creative ideas and achieve innovative solutions.
