1. Evolution on the technology in paper machines brought new needs and new developments. 2. New developments need improvement in maintenance for keeping optimum performance. 3. Best practices have been defined for keeping Doctors in optimum operating conditions 4. New tools have been developed to make easy carrying out best practices and avoiding continuous need of specialist 5. The tools make that carrying out best practices is something that anybody can do and manage with no problem. 6. But the tools alone are not the solution for carrying out best practices. A preventive maintenance plan is necessary and complementary to the tools.
