Polylactic Acid microfibers for wet-laid nonwoven processes

1. Flat PLA microfibers are easily dispersed 2. Uniformity of dispersion leads to highly uniform handsheets 3. As with traditional synthetics, provides adequate tensile strength in concert with binder 4. Blends well with cellulose fibers 5. Should be processible on papermaking equipment (to be tested in near future).
