摘要

The estimation value of time delay between two leakage signals is the main factor affecting the accuracy of leak location during the pipeline leak location. How to quickly find out the delay time and improve the positioning accuracy are difficulties. In this paper, the basic principle of leak location and LMS adaptive filtering algorithm were analyzed, then for computational complexity and the positioning error increases due to the rapidly change of the step length when the system reached stable states of the fixed step LMS algorithm, a variable step-size signed adaptive filtering algorithm is introduced, and the algorithm is simulated. Simulation results show that variable step-size signed adaptive filtering algorithm not only improved the leak location accuracy, but also enhanced the stability of the curve and solved the contradiction between convergence speed and steady-state misalignment.
